Why Tampa
Tampa Bay Is Built for a Lab
If you are getting a Labrador, Tampa Bay is about as good as it gets. Labs are water dogs, and you have the Gulf, the bay, and a string of dog beaches where your pup can actually swim. The whole area is built for them: patios that welcome dogs, parks all over, and pet stores that make the day-to-day easy.
A Lab wants to move and be part of things, and Tampa gives it the room. Just be ready to keep up. If you want a sense of how much exercise that really means, read our guide on Labrador exercise needs. We place puppies all across the Bay: Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Brandon, Riverview, Wesley Chapel, and the rest of the metro.
Easy ownership
Dog-Friendly Tampa Bay
Here is what makes owning a Lab easy here, starting with the water.
Beaches where your Lab can swim
Fort De Soto Paw Playground
St. Petersburg. Widely rated the best dog beach in the Bay. Dedicated off leash, separate areas for big and small dogs, water stations, and clear shallow water made for swimming.
Picnic Island Park Dog Beach
South Tampa. Fenced, sandy, and off leash, with a dog wash station and water fountains right at the beach.
Davis Islands Dog Beach
Tampa. A small fenced off-leash beach near downtown with a view of the city skyline. A local favorite.
Supplies and a hand when you need it
Dogtopia of Westchase
Daycare, boarding, grooming
A handy all-around option when life gets busy and you need backup.
Worth the drive
We Will Bring Your Puppy to You
Tampa is the farthest we go, about two hours and 110 miles straight across I-4 from our Sanford home. That has never been a dealbreaker, because we will close the distance for you.
One of our buyers had just moved to the Tampa area. Her husband was an airline pilot, gone for stretches at a time, and she was in a brand-new place with no family and few friends nearby. She wanted a puppy for company, but her own schedule made the drive to us nearly impossible. So we did not make her drive. We brought her puppy to her. That is the whole idea.
Pick up in Sanford if you would rather make the trip, or we deliver to the Bay when available at about $2.50 a mile, depending on fuel. Either way, you are not stuck.

Why buy from us
Why Drive Two Hours for a Puppy?
Fair question. Because what you get for it is a puppy from a real family you can call, parents you can ask about, and a home you can come see, instead of a crate shipped in from an out-of-state operation you will never lay eyes on. Two hours up the road beats two time zones away. And here is why Florida is a great state to own a Lab.
And if you cannot make the drive, see above. We will come to you.
Before you ask

Do you deliver to Clearwater, St. Pete, or Brandon?
Yes, across the Tampa Bay area when available, at about $2.50 a mile, depending on fuel prices.
How long is the drive from Tampa to pick up in Sanford?
About two hours and 110 miles straight across I-4. Some Tampa families make a day of it. If your schedule does not allow, we deliver to you.
Where can my Lab swim around Tampa Bay?
Fort De Soto Paw Playground, Picnic Island Park, and Davis Islands all have off-leash dog beaches. Keep fresh water on hand and skip the beach on red-tide days.

Yes, though it is a haul from the Bay. Once a litter reaches four or five weeks we hold weekend open houses, and we take visits by appointment. If the drive is too much, ask for a video walkthrough before you decide.
What does a Labrador puppy cost, delivered to Tampa?
Puppies are $1,500 to $3,000 by color, demand, and litter. Add delivery to the Bay if you want it, and a $500 deposit locks in your pick.
